Step 1: Upload Data

Upload Data is the one-time import of your existing reciprocal program. One upload creates every account and depositor and sets up your waves, so bring in your whole book at once. Your projected savings and your wave plan both depend on it.

Choose how to upload

  • Option 1: Upload your current provider's reports. Export these three reports from your current provider and upload them exactly as they export. No reformatting is needed. Your institution decides which files to export and upload.
    • Trial Balances
    • Accounts
    • Customers
  • Option 2: Use the NBID template. Click Download Template, fill it in, and upload the completed file.

Steps

  1. Export the reports for your entire program, not a subset, so your whole book is set up in one upload.
  2. Drop your files into the upload area (CSV or Excel, up to 50MB each; several at once is fine) and click Upload Files.
  3. Your NBID team maps your files into the transition. Processing can take up to 48 hours, and you'll be notified when it's done. A blank screen doesn't mean the upload failed.
  4. When the upload succeeds, you'll see how many accounts were created and their total balance. Then click Assign Waves.

After upload, your book isn't editable in the portal. If you spot an error, contact your NBID team and they'll correct it. Balances will change before go-live, which is expected: balances are pulled fresh at funding, so your upload is the starting picture. Depositor exclusion elections are not part of the upload. Each depositor confirms or updates their exclusions when they accept their Terms & Conditions.
