Accessing the Depositor Portal

The NBID Depositor Portal is a flexible application that can be adapted to meet your bank's needs and use cases, and can be accessed in a variety of ways. Some banks have their clients access the portal directly through the web - at your bank's own custom portal address (e.g., yourbank.nbid.com), configured through the Branding section of the Admin Portal, or at the shared portal address, accounts.modernfi.com - while some prefer to integrate directly into their digital banking experience through single sign-on (SSO). Whatever your preferred path forward, NBID will work with you to deliver it.

Providing your clients with direct access to the Depositor Portal is the fastest and simplest way to get your Insured Sweep Accounts up and running. Once an account is opened, your team invites the client from the Admin Portal (Settings → User Management → Invite Depositor User) with either Full Access or Read-Only access. Your client receives a "User Invitation" email with a link to create their login credentials - invitation links expire after 30 days, and pending invitations can be resent, copied, or revoked from the Admin Portal at any time. Once their credentials are created, your client will have access to view - and, with Full Access, transact within - their account through the portal. Clients can access the portal anytime through their computer or mobile phone.

For added security, multi-factor authentication (MFA) is available for the Depositor Portal and is enabled at the institution level. If your bank has opted in, depositors are prompted to enroll the first time they sign in, and verify with their enrolled method (such as a one-time passcode) on future sign-ins. To enable MFA for your depositors, or to confirm your institution's current setting, contact your Regional Director.
